• Floor scrubbers are able to do larger areas more efficiently and cost effectively
• Steam Extraction cleaners can do about 300 metres sq per hour
• Floor scrubbers range considerably in their cleaning capacity depending on the size of the machine. A comparably priced floor scrubber of medium size could cover 1000 sq m per hour
• Steam Extraction cleaner might cost around $7 a sqm
• Floor scrubbing might cost around $2 a sqm

A tile and grout cleaner is more compact and would produce a better result in a small bathroom because a floor scrubber would simply struggle to fit but when you have larger surface areas to cover a floor scrubber is the right tool for the job.
